Rick Brown |
|
Mr. Brown spent ten years with the
Bank of Nova Scotia and Scotia Capital Markets in New York. He
began this period as a corporate lending officer. After four
years in the corporate lending group, Mr. Brown moved to
Scotia's investment bank, where he became head of investment
grade fixed income origination, focusing primarily on foreign
issuers accessing the U.S. capital markets.
Prior to joining Osprey Capital in November of 2001, Mr.
Brown spend three years as chief financial officer of a Canadian
hi-tech company where he was responsible for all financial
aspects, including fund raising, bank facilities, mergers and
acquisitions and the development of the Company’s business
strategy
Mr. Brown holds a Masters degree in finance from the Daniels
School of Business at the University of Denver and a BA in
Economics from the University of Guelph. |

Alan Crossley |
|
Mr. Crossley brings over twenty-five years of chemical, petroleum and logistics industry experience to Osprey. Prior to joining, he was Senior Vice President of Canada’s largest and fastest growing independent petroleum products marketing income trust. In this capacity he was involved in and led multiple acquisitions and well as managing the operations of a number of the companies businesses. His background includes senior financial and operating positions, in both private and public companies, and involved management buyouts and IPO’s in the transportation and chemical industries.
Mr. Crossley holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Queens University School of Business and a BA majoring in Economics from York University. |

Stephen Jakob |
|
Prior to co-founding Osprey
Capital, Mr. Jakob was a Partner and Director with Gordon
Capital Corporation where he provided investment banking advice
to a number of Canadian public and private companies. Mr. Jakob
had responsibility for a variety of transactions including
bought deals, special warrants, convertible debentures, initial
public offerings, asset sales and going-private transactions.
Before joining Gordon Capital, Mr. Jakob was the President and a
Director of a private packaging and distribution company. He
became involved shortly after the start-up and initiated and
completed the ultimate sale to one of Canada's largest consumer
products companies.
After receiving an HBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business,
he taught Business 257, Canadian Institute of Management and
Institute of Canadian Bankers courses at Western. |

Eric Jensen (Winnipeg) |

Eric is a professional management consultant who spent nearly 20 years with Deloitte Consulting, a large multinational consulting organization. His specialities included working on business transformations, technology implementations, new business start-ups and running large teams on multidisciplinary projects. Prior to Deloitte Consulting, Eric worked in commercial banking with the Toronto Dominion Bank. Eric serves on a variety of non profits in Manitoba in the health care and leisure industries.
Eric received his undergraduate degree in Business from the University of Manitoba, a certified management consultant accreditation (CMC), a certified management accountant accreditation (CMA), and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario in 1989. |

Mr. Faughnan has
spent his career in the capital markets developing diverse

cross-section of industry groups, in both advisory and
operational roles. Before joining Osprey Capital, he was
a senior executive at a leading venture capital firm and prior
to that, Mr. Faughnan was a Founder and Managing Director of a
Toronto-based specialized Investment Bank.
Mr. Faughnan holds an Master’s of Business Administration from
the University of Toronto’ s Rotman School of Business and is a
Chartered Financial Analyst. |

Grant Howard (Calgary) |
|
Since 1988, Mr.
Howard has served as Owner and President of The Howard Group
Inc., Western Canada's oldest investor and financial relations
firm. With a strict focus on assisting small and micro cap
companies, Mr. Howard has assisted clients in raising equity and
advised on numerous corporate finance mandates.
Mr. Howard is a member of the Bachelor of Applied Business and
Entrepreneurship Advisory Committee to the Bisset School of
Business at Mount Royal College. He previously served as a
director on the Calgary Angel Network Committee, a community
backed effort to organize the angel investing network in
Calgary.
Prior to forming The Howard Group, he enjoyed a multifaceted
extensive career in the communications industry spanning
television and radio journalism to crisis and media consulting.
Grant is currently a director of Solana Resources, which is
listed on the TSX Venture Exchange and the AIM Exchange in the
United Kingdom. |

Frederick Innis (Winnipeg) |

Prior to joining
Osprey Capital, Mr. Innis led a capital advisory service with a small cap focus. He completed investment banking
assignments in the B2B software development sector, the junior
resource sector and in the medical waste industries, advising on
reverse takeovers, strategic acquisitions and debt refinancing.
He has board level experience in publicly traded and private
companies.
Mr. Innis currently advises on the lifecycle needs of private
companies in a wide range of industries in the prairie region.
He gets results from managing relationships with multiple
stakeholders at the intersection of government, business and
finance.
Mr. Innis holds a law degree from the University of Ottawa, an
MBA from the University of Toronto, has taught income tax policy
at the Faculty of Law, University of Manitoba and is a member of
the board of the Westminster Housing Society. |

Martin Kossowski |

Mr. Kossowski’s background in Canadian and international banking and investment banking spans more than 30 years, most of which was with TD Securities and TD Bank Financial Group. In 2001, he formed Meriak Consulting, which provides specialized financial and regulatory services to the commercial and financial sectors.
Over the years he has helped many Canadian companies with their domestic and international financial and investment requirements. He has also assisted numerous foreign companies establish businesses in Canada, including arranging their financial needs.
A Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers, he regularly teaches various advanced courses covering the subjects of banking and the flow of financial assets, at a number of accounting, banking and other organizations. |
